This team is very deep, and there is a lot of potential for them to turn into a good team. This year they seem to be very young and inexperienced. They have a lot of talented players, but they lack the depth to develop them into consistent NBA players. This team has a lot of room for growth, but for now they need to play for playoff spots. This team has a lot of work to do in the offseason, and we dont see them accomplishing much of it either. There are still a couple of free agents to be signed, including point guard Joe Johnson, who could be more than a depth player. But they still have to address some other positions on the roster, most notably the starting point guard position.

Although the Nets are certainly short-handed, they have a lot of talent on the roster for the future, and that future is currently in flux. They could certainly use some help on the wing, especially point guard. At the moment they are looking to add point guard, and you will see some of the moves later in the offseason.
