I can go out and spend a lot of time being in the gym and being active and doing things that are healthy.

And if you’re just interested in trying something different, then you could even get some motivation from the fact that you do not have any fitness.
It sounds like your body is pretty sore and you will probably get that feeling when you go to the gym. Do you want to find that out at work or on your own? I know I am. You can do it at your own pace and without the distractions of your own schedule.
Yes, your body is sore. But it’s also that same soreness that makes you want to run. So if you can run a half-marathon, or maybe even a marathon, the next time you feel the need to run, you can do it without it hurting.
