Many times we hear comments like, “I don’t want to be a part of that,” or “I have to do this one thing.” When it comes to environmentalism, it is important to understand that there is no such thing as a “one time” issue. Every decision we make impacts the environment in some way.
The problem is when you’re asked to do something for one cause, and you do it for other causes, then you seem to be doing things that are not environmentally friendly. At the same time, it’s important to understand that there are very good reasons that environmental costs are external. For example, cleaning up your yard is a good thing, but so is removing the top of a tree so it doesn’t fall on my car.
Companies like Nestle are always asking you to do something for them. They spend millions of dollars to make sure their products are environmentally friendly, and then they make sure to maintain their products so they don’t leak or pollute. On the other hand, if you want to be a good corporate citizen, you want to do as much for the environment as possible.
So if you want to be a good corporate citizen, you want to do as much for the environment as possible. This is where “external” comes into play. When it comes to product, you want to do what the customers ask you to do, but if you put on a shirt and tie, people may just assume that you are a grownup. And in the age of social media, this is exactly the impression that companies like Nestle are hoping to create.
If everyone around you was a grownup then social media wouldn’t be a thing. For as long as companies try to play on young people’s need for instant gratification, the only reason you’ll ever have to wait for something is if your parents want something and they’re not aware of it. It’s the same reason that it’s so hard to get a loan to buy a home because you don’t know what your parents know.
In the age of instant gratification, the only reason you can get a loan to buy a home is because the loan company knows your parents and your parents know your loan company. When the companies that offer free information (Facebook, Whatsapp, etc) arent making money, then the only reason youll ever have to wait for something is if your parents arent aware of it.
We see this in real life, too. Ive seen this happen many times. Ive seen a parent get a loan for a house because the bank does not know how to do it, and then the bank gets the loan back for the house when they know how to do it. Ive seen this happen many times. Its happened to me many times.
In the old days, you would typically have to make the payment within a certain time frame. But now you can use the money to pay off the debt.
A good point. People are so afraid of debt that they’ll take your money to pay off your mortgage and buy a house for you. This is how the banks got into trouble a few years ago.
This is also true for cars. I also think it applies to your home. Many people who are debt-ridden will go to the bank and ask for a loan for a new car or a home they can’t afford. The bank can then send a check to the lender to cover this, and the lending institution will take the money. This is how the banks got into trouble a few years ago.
